Providing Platforms for Women* in Tech

We’re creating the foundations for a more inclusive and equitable tech industry in the UK. It all starts with building up a network we can rely on that understands our experiences.

Become a Volunteer

You Can Be the Change

We need all the assistance we can get when it comes to events, admin, and even pushing more support out for our members. Please let us know if you can volunteer your time to anything from managing data to managing an online community. We are striving for more capacity, and YOU can help us!

Sponsor an Event

Be Centerstage

We’re always thrilled to find partners to help us host our inclusive and alcohol-free events. As a partner you not only have the opportunity to showcase your company as a DEI ally, you can also have a speaker represent your company on the panel, as a host, or in another format we can collaborate on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you host an event at my place of business?

Because our events are community-focused and led, you should become a part of our community before you start thinking about hosting an event with us. We’re all about collaboration, but we should make sure we're a good fit first.

I’m an ally. Can I come to an event?

Our events are usually exclusively for attendees who are women*, but not about excluding our male allies. They are about holding space for conversations and challenges that are experienced by women* in the tech industry without having to explain the subtext of our daily experiences. If you are an ally, we would love for you to share our events with your co-workers, encourage your supervisor to send members of staff who could benefit from our organisation, or even sponsor an event with us.

And in 2025, we ran our first event for all genders to have a wider conversation about allyship. We're hoping to find partners who want to support events with allies in the future.

And, hey, thanks for understanding the need to have something that allows us to connect with each other. The fact that you “get it” is pretty great.

I would LOVE to speak at a Women In Tech NE event. Where do I sign up?

Your first step is to attend a Women in Tech NE event.

The next step would be to become a member. (It’s free, don’t worry!)

We source our themes, event structures, and topics from issues our members are looking for help or support with. We’d love to hear what you want to speak about so that we can incorporate your knowledge into the mix.

What does partnership entail?

We're looking for new partners to work with for 2026. Event partnerships are a collaborative effort between Women in Tech NE Board and the partner. Typically, a partner has attended an event in the past.

Women in Tech NE will collaborate with the partner to determine format, theme, and topics covered and select a date for the event. Together, we secure a venue, provide refreshments and determine speakers, including one from the partner organisation if they so choose.
